April Cassidy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Greg, for 24 years. She is a part-time pharmacist, a Christian marriage blogger, an author, a YouTuber, and women’s conference speaker. The Cassidys live in the Columbia, SC area with their 17 year-old son and 12 year-old daughter where they are active members at First Baptist Church of Columbia.

April was a very strong Type A personality and thought she was the most amazing Christian woman and wife. She read her Bible and prayed every day, went to church three times per week, only listened to Christian music, and could quote dozens of verses.

But something was clearly wrong. She was lonely in her marriage, frustrated, resentful, and continuously worried and anxious. For over fourteen years, she begged God to change her husband. He was too passive, too quiet, and she felt he needed to be a better leader. If only he would do what she told him to, surely everything would be one hundred times better!

Was she ever surprised when God suddenly opened her eyes to a sizeable “beam in her own eye” that needed her attention in December of 2008. April learned a lot of lessons about being a godly wife and mom the hard way and loves to share the treasures God has given her to hopefully help spare other women some of the pain of her mistakes.

Check out April’s blogs, and She has two Facebook ministry pages, “The Peaceful Wife Blog” and “Peaceful Single Girl.” April’s YouTube channel is called, “April Cassidy.” Her published books include “The Peaceful Wife – Living in Submission to Christ As Lord” and “The Peaceful Mom – Building a Healthy Foundation with Christ As Lord” which are available at,, and
