One of the most stressful yet one of the most rewarding things about homeschooling is teaching your child to read.  For me, there was no greater satisfaction than helping my child sound out letters and read their very first book. Get your child on the path to reading with the R.E.A.D program.

R.E.A.D- READY, EAGER, ABLE, and DETERMINED! But this program is not just reading alone, the curriculum is a complete grammar, writing, and language arts program with a little science  and social studies mixed in as well. It is available in two different levels- Kindergarten and Grade 1 and is especially good for struggling readers or those with special needs.

The pages are bright, interesting, and most importantly interactive. Whether your child is using their finger to follow the letter sounds, tracing new letters, or writing words they are absorbing the information in different ways that will really help it stick.

The calendar is laid out for you each of the four days as well as instructions for the binder and notebook- very helpful to use as part of your end of the year portfolio and for a keepsake.

Your child need not have completed the Kindergarten version to be able to use the Grade 1 curriculum and once children get the hang of the rhythm of the program you will find that it is a great mix of teacher lead and student-led learning.

You will need to print out your books and purchase a small composition book but other than that this is an easy little to no prep curriculum! Perfect for moms of littles with a ton already on their plates.
