Creative Littles

Do you have a creative little kiddo who is ready to start schooling? A toddler roaming around the house begging to “do school” with their siblings? Or a special needs kiddo? I can tell you; I have had ALL 3! The one thing I can tell you is, it can be hard to find the right curriculum. You are either spending more time finding the right FREE printables or you buy the first thing you see and hope it works!

I know! I have been there! When I went looking for Preschool-Kindergarten curriculum for my daughter, I must have spent 20 hours searching the Internet for what I wanted. I finally got what I wanted but I wish it was easier. It had to be easier!

Learning Disabilities

When we started using all the curriculum I downloaded, we started to realize my daughter could not retain what she was learning. She was working hard trying to identify her letters. But she simply could not retain the information. With much research and help from an expert, we were finally able to teach my daughter the alphabet.

Creative Littles

Creative Littles was created to help ALL children identify and retain their alphabet. Creative Littles interweaves a Montessori approach with a traditional worksheet based handwriting approach. This creates is a multi-sensory, multi-step approach to learning.

Creative Littles has 4 main parts to this program.

  1. Upper Case Letters: Each letter has worksheets comprising of handwriting, drawing, and coloring.
  2. Lower Case Letters: Each letter has worksheets comprising of handwriting, gluing and cutting, and coloring.
  3. Games: Contains 10 Bingo cards and Flash Cards (Cards can be used for Flash Cards, Memory Game, and Go Fish)
  4. Craft: Each letter has a letter that can be used as a Letter Placemat. This mat when laminated can be used to make letters with playdough, sand, shaving cream or even trace the letter with your finger.

As a teacher, you can use this program at the appropriate speed for your child.  For example, if your child can not write yet, you can play the games and have them practice tracing on the Letter Placemat. Build your child’s fine motor skills while forming playdough letters on their mats or coloring a letter. Maybe your child likes to draw, let them try to draw a picture of something that starts with the letter you are learning. When your child is ready to start writing, then they can move onto the handwriting step. Finally, once your child has started to master the letter sound, you can use the cards to build simple 3 letter words.

In Closing

Being a teacher is such an important job! This is one of the most important jobs we have in this world. With Creative Littles, this program will set your child up for success. It is a fun, multi-sensory, multi-step program created to teach your child to not only identify a letter, but also retain it.

The best part about this program is it is printable. That means you can print off as many copies of these worksheets, games, and crafts as you need for your children (in your house).

I want to share with you a testimonial from Priscilla

“As a homeschooling mom with two special needs kids, I am always looking for stuff to keep the kids engaged. My oldest is 7 and her brother is 4 1/2. My daughter has multiple disabilities including ASD and ADHD, her brother was just diagnosed as being on the spectrum as well. Either way for those of you unsure about using this program with special needs children rests assured it can work. Both of my kids absolutely hate handwriting but the way Creative Littles is laid out they LOVE IT!! NO FUSSING OR WHINING. My kids want to do the work and it’s so very helpful that it’s applicable across a wide age range. Everyone can work at their own pace and no one feels left out.”
