On the 11th Day of Christmas, Life of a Homeschool Mom gave to me…a giveaway for a kit from Take Time for Art on Ancient Greece {there ya go, that one rhymed a little better!}. Seriously though, this is another great giveaway….and stay tuned tomorrow for the GRAND PRIZE giveaway {hint- it includes a prize pack AND CASH!!}

Take Time for Art’s Ancient Greece Giveaway!

Take Time for Art is partnering with Life of a Homeschool Mom to give you an amazing chance at a giveaway for a complete Ancient Greece Art package.  This package includes access to our Ancient Greece streaming videos series and an Ancient Greece Art Materials Pack. This giveaway is worth a total of $107.00 including tax and shipping!!  What an amazing gift of art for that special child on your list!

What is Included in This Package?

In each of our units you can expect great history told in story with beautiful art history images and wonderful hands-on projects all through streaming video.  We put the visuals on history. That means when we study about Ancient Greece, we show images of beautiful Greek sculpture, art objects, and classical architecture.  We also talk about the Greek myths and show them in paintings and sculpture down through the ages. And as we tell the stories of Greek history, we include paintings of characters like Helen of Troy, King Minos, and Icarus. At Take Time for Art, we put art in the context of history and then teach from a Christian worldview. You can watch a promotional video about Ancient Greece here.

But we do more than just look at great art. At Take Time for Art we make real art based on real art.  That means that in Ancient Greece when we study about the Greek wars, tell the story of the Spartan’s way of life, and talk about the Battle of Marathon, we then make a wonderful Greek warrior’s helmet that your child can actually wear! And yes, we paint, talk about art principles, make a color wheel, and even do a Greek vase painting on terracotta. What are the ages for this curriculum?  We suggest you use it for students 8 or 9 and up.

In addition, we offer simple and more complicated versions of our projects so that most of your family can participate at their level.  So if you have more than one child participating, there’s no need to purchase an extra video access!  All you need to do is purchase an extra art materials pack.  We believe that art should be something families experience together.  We suggest you use it for students 8 or 9 and up.

Here’s a review of our curriculum on Ancient Greece by Erica Johns at Enrichment Studies. She actually used it for her boys in high school.  Yes, you can do that!

And What About Those Art Materials Packs?

You know the feeling.  You planned a great hands-on project and just when you were ready to do it, you realized that you need some obscure material that you forgot to order!  There’s nothing more frustrating, and it’s why we include art materials packs in our program.  We know you are busy, and we’ve got your back.  Our art materials packs include everything but the things you probably already have such as scissors, glue, and tape.

How Easy is This Program to Use?

When we say our program is simple use and puts the fun back in your day, we mean it. The videos are engaging and the projects are taught using step-by-step videos.  It really is plug and play.  But we also give you a day-by-day curriculum guide to help you plan your next project.  We even write our guide with co-ops in mind.

Cross Your Fingers!

So enter that giveaway and cross your fingers!  And if you don’t win, no problem!  We have a wonderful coupon on our website for 25% off our art materials packs when you sign up for our newsletter.  Want free shipping?  Just buy 3 packs and get automatic free shipping at our checkout. What an amazing gift for a homeschooled child on your list!  And what a great gift to yourself.  You get to bring art into your home, integrate it with history, make it hands-on, get the great materials packs, and have it taught from a Christian worldview!  It’s time to Take Time for Art!
