Being a homeschool mom isn’t always easy, especially not when it comes to having get togethers and parties for your kids. One things that has really helped me get my child’s friends from all over town, from all different social circles together is by using Basic Invite. They are an online stationery company that makes creating custom party invitations as easy as 1-2-3!

Basic Invite has a great website that allowed me to let my daughter create her own invitation for her birthday party while learning about design and money management skills. I gave her a budget and let her go to work choosing a theme and design for her own invites. This was so exciting for her because they offer hundreds of party invitation templates and have over 180 different colors to choose from for customizing fonts, backgrounds, and designs. They had so many options for girl birthday party invitations that it took lots of time to narrow her favorites down. Of course she went with something pink and girly focusing her party around ice-cream. You wouldn’t believe how many different shades of pink this website offers!

The fact that the invitation was nearly one hundred percent customizable wasn’t the only thing that was exciting about Basic Invite. Once we were done creating the invite, we had to make a big decision about envelopes. Basic Invite offers a wonderful service that allows you to send out a link to your guests and collect their addresses all in the same place, and then Basic Invite will print them on standard white envelopes for free! Which saves so much time for us busy moms. However, my daughter noticed that if she didn’t get the addresses printed, she could get pink envelopes that matched her invitations because Basic Invite offers 40 different colors of envelopes to choose from if you forego the free printing service. So, we talked about how nice it would be for her guests to receive an invite with their addresses hand written by the guest of honor herself (I left out the fact that it will be good penmanship practice too) on pretty pink envelopes. She really liked that idea so we went for the all around pink look.

Everybody loved the birthday invitations and they were so fun and easy to create! If your looking to plan a party or get together anytime soon head on over to Basic Invites website and use the code 15FF51 to get 15% off and don’t forget to check out their social media too!
