Welcome to Summer Learning Week here at Life of a Homeschool Mom! This week is super exciting because each day this week, I will be sharing some fun and creative ways to build learning into your summer activities. I’ll be giving you ideas for educational activities that can be done at the pool, at the beach, at the zoo, and at the park! But, to kick off the week, I’ve teamed up with Brenda from Schooling a Monkey to bring you an amazing freebie that will help you to plan a Summer Camp at home for your children. It is designed for toddlers and preschoolers, but even my preteen children loved the activities! She sells these Summer Camp plans on her website for $9.99, but this week ONLY, my readers {that’s you!} can get it for FREE! Check out what she has to say…

Oh my is it hot!

My kids are already complaining about it being too hot to play outside, even though it’s one of the first days of summer vacation!

Something about the heat seems to make summer boredom kick in early at our house.

To stop the endless whining and cries of boredom, I usually try to provide my kids with fun screen-free activities to try in the summer.

This year, I stumbled across an adorable summer camp for preschoolers and toddlers from Brenda of Schooling a Monkey.

This complete summer camp book has everything you need to get a whole week of summer camp ideas for little ones who are too young to attend formal summer camp.

Whip these activities out when your older kids are at their camps, or try inviting the neighborhood kids to your summer camp for a week of epic summer adventures.

I’ll even let you in on a secret- although the summer camp activities are designed for toddlers and preschoolers, older kids will have a blast with these themes too.

If you want to try the activities with older kids, skip the finger plays, but everything else will be just as fun for older kids as little ones!

The Summer Camp download includes:

  • Instructions
  • Tips for setting up and planning your summer camp
  • Sample schedule
  • Daily lesson plans which include: activities, games, book suggestions, songs/finger play, arts and crafts, snack ideas
  • Worksheets
  • Supply lists
  • Book lists
  • and more!
