One of the greatest aspects of homeschooling is the ability to take the interests of our children and turn them into learning opportunities. One year, my daughter who is a competitive gymnast wanted nothing to do with math. She couldn’t see how she would ever use math in the future, so we turned all of her math lessons into Gymnastics Math. She learned addition, subtraction, decimals, and how to figure out word problems through this method. She loved it!

If your child is into LEGOs, these LEGO Math Challenge Cards that I have for you will make them smile! If math time is a stressful time in your home, break out these fun challenge cards and your children won’t even realize they are doing math!

  1. How did you do gymnastics math lessons? I’m only curious because I have a little pre comp gymnast that hates to sit down with me to do math lessons.
