As a kid, I never really thought too much about the star that led the wise men to Jesus. After all, couldn’t God simply stick a star in the sky wherever and whenever He wanted? We stumbled across a Star of Bethlehem dvd several years ago that shows how science and history back up the Christmas story. I amazed at how all of the intricate details so perfectly worked together!
What was the Star of Bethlehem?
There are several theories about what the star might have been: a comet, a nova, planets aligning. Discuss these articles with your kids and decide which is the most likely scenario. Have them create a notebooking page comparing the theories.
Star of Bethlehem Lessons & Activities
Add a bit of starry fun to your school day. We set aside most of our regular subjects during December and do what I like to call Funschool. I try to fit in Christmas activities whenever possible. My kids like to act out the Christmas story using free printable nativity sets.
