Being a Christian, Resurrection Day is very important to us. We don’t do a lot of fanfare for the day, but we do want to make sure our children know what the day is about – Jesus Christ and his resurrection from the dead.
So over the past few years, I have worked hard to find printables that emphasize the resurrection of Jesus Christ, rather than the bunnies and candy. Not that we don’t allow that, but we want the focus to be on the resurrection.
In an effort to focus more on the Scriptures and memorizing God’s Word during this season, I decided to create some copywork for Resurrection Sunday. There is no way to include all the Scriptures surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection, because there are so many. So, for this copywork I have included statements made from the cross. Together, I believe they create the picture of the true meaning of the cross – love.
Included in these printables:
- 10 Scriptures in both King James Version and New International Version copywork
- Manuscript and Cursive in both NIV and KJV
- Extra lined pages for both manuscript and cursive writers
You can use these printables in several different ways. You can use them daily for the 10 days leading up to Resurrection Sunday, April 20. Add them to my Resurrection Day Unit Study to make a more complete unit or as a stand alone daily activity to help focus the attention back on what Jesus did on the cross.
You can download them directly from Google Docs by clicking the correct link below (you may need to be signed in to Google to download them). Be sure to read carefully, as there are three different downloads for NIV and three for KJV. The combination downloads have both the manuscript and cursive copywork printables.
