Hearts for Home Blog Hop #39 { The Homemaker's Mentor }

I received a free copy of The Homemaker’s Mentor in exchange for an honest review of their product. I was not required to write a positive review. The honest opinions expressed below are my own.

A few weeks ago, I shared with you guys how God is developing my heart for my home, and isn’t it true that when God convicts you of something, He will give you the necessary tools to complete the job?

That is what has happened to me.

I’ve noticed a growing desire within myself to learn more homemaking skills. I would love to have someone “adopt” me and teach me all of these great skills. I am fortunate to have both of my grandmothers alive and well, but given the fact that I am six hours away from them, it limits just how much they can teach me.

So, a few weeks ago when I was contacted about reviewing The Homemaker’s Mentor, I KNEW it was a gift from God. This CD is the teacher I was looking for!

The Homemaker's Mentor review and giveaway

The Homemakers Mentor Vol. 1 {Volume 2 will be out next Spring} is like having a virtual great-grandmother who teaches you everything you need to know about nurturing your home and your family. Seriously, guys that is exactly what it is like. The CD contains over 100 documents that will teach you everything from sewing, to cooking, to cleaning and organizing.

Okay- homeschoolers, listen up! Not only does this collection teach you all about homemaking, it also contains unit studies {and we all love those, right?!} to help your younger children learn the basics of homemaking.

So, you guys can see why I am so excited about this collection now! Actually, I am so very excited because God has laid a very special and HUGE new project on my heart that stems from The Homemaker’s Mentor. More details coming soon on that…but it is BIG! Think recent movie type BIG!!!!

  1. Thanks for featuring my “5 dates for $5 of less” post.

  2. I struggle with making most meals from scratch. I’m intimidated by long recipes and multitasking when it comes to cooking.

  3. I think the hard one for me is sewing. My mom tried to teach me once when I was about 12. It didn’t go well and she decided it wasn’t for me. Now I want to learn and I have to get past the feeling that I’ll never be any good at it.

  4. I get so overwhelmed with meal planning as well as trying to keep homeschool organized!

  5. I struggle with keeping my home clean and organized! I have tried many times to come up with a plan, but I never seem to stick with it!
