This post is for letter “R” in the 2016 ABCs of Homeschooling Through the Holidays series.
Homeschooling during the holiday season can sometimes be a little overwhelming to accomplish. Preparing holiday meals, gift shopping, planning family get-togethers and holiday activities can sometimes leave very little time left to prepare lesson plans. Not to mention the fact that the kiddos can be very distracted by all of the joy of the season to concentrate on the regular school subjects. So why not toss in some fun topics to learn about during the holiday season?
Since you have enough on your plate with all of the holiday stuff, I have gathered up a few resources to help create a fun, interesting unit study about Reindeer.
Learn all about Caribou Reindeer at National Geographic for Kids.
Check out these Reindeer Facts that you may not know.
Make Craft Stick Reindeer Ornament to hang on your Christmas Tree.
Practice your handwriting with this Reindeer Tracing Worksheet
Label the parts of a Reindeer with this Worksheet
Make sure to visit Santa’s Official Reindeer Cam every day to see Santa feeding his reindeer.
I hope this little round up of reindeer resources brings a little stress-free fun and learning to your homeschool during the holiday season.
